Specialising in the hiring of self-drive plant and equipment to the major Utility, Building and Civil Engineering Companies on a National basis Buckhurst supply an extensive array of plant: from hydraulic breakers to 20 tonne excavators as well as cable drum, pipe coil and sediment trailers, hydraulic pipe bursting units, pole handling equipment, rack feed borers and trailer and tractor winches. With a fleet of new Scania vehicles, Buckhurst are able to deliver their plant to customers whenever and wherever they require it and they also offer a full transport service for any equipment, vehicles, machinery and goods nationwide.
The Issue
Buckhurst had been using a fairly dated hire management program that had, in their opinion very poor reporting capabilities; had poor usability - only one window could be opened at any one time, and in general Buckhurst considered that it would not cope with the expansion plans of the company.
Buckhurst decided that they should research the market for an alternative rental management solution and looked at three different suppliers.
The Solution
Buckhurst selected inspHire Office Edition rental software.
“Although we had no set ideas when we began looking for an alternative solution we chose inspHire over the other products that we looked at because we felt it was the best product for our size of business, and that it had the ability to allow us to grow. Also when we had the inspHire demonstration we were very impressed with the level of functionality“. Lee Gansler, Buckhurst Plant.
Buckhurst found the implementation of inspHire to be easy and trouble free and the training to be comprehensive and informative.
“Any questions that we raise are responded to quickly and efficiently”.
“We have found it much easier to track our assets with inspHire and the level of reporting is far superior”.
Lee Gansler, Buckhurst Plant.
