Tardis Environmental UK

Background

With a current turnover of £4 million, Tardis Environmental UK was incorporated in 1991 and is now a well-established portable toilet hire and wet waste removal company servicing the general  public and commercial customers throughout the UK.

As well as a large range of portable toilets ideal for large events, construction sites, office workers, allotments, schools, taxi ranks, etc, Tardis also offers a fleet of crane-mounted lorries which provide a Nationwide haulage service, moving anything from generators, cabins, toilet blocks to dumpers, diggers, rollers and access platforms. In addition the fleet includes a range of water bowsers providing on site solutions where no mains water connections are available.   

The Issue

Tardis was using a bespoke software programme to run its fleet, and because it did not integrate into the TAS accounts package that the company was running, all the data entry was duplicated – increasing the time spent on day to day back office procedures.
 
As the company expanded it became clear that Tardis needed to find an alternative rental management solution if it was to continue on its growth path. 

There were three key criteria that Tardis were looking for - a solution that: was secure;  integrated into their current TAS accounting package; and one that could grow with them that was developed by a professional company which had a policy for continued product development. 

The Solution

Tardis Environmental selected inspHire Office Edition.

inspHire allowed Tardis instant access to information they required especially historical stock information. The Microsoft SQL database that inspHire utilises has also enabled Tardis fast and efficient procedures - they are now invoicing daily as well as at  the month end.
