Background
Hire or Buy Group Ltd first began trading (as St Neots Tool Hire) in 1975 making it one the very first tool hire firms in the region. Since then the company has expanded to its current four depots, which are situated along the Cambridgeshire/Bedfordshire/ Hertfordshire A1 corridor.
The Hire or Buy Group has over 400 different types of plant, tools and equipment available for hire. Their equipment ranges from 3.0 tonne tracked excavators to hand held power tools and their fleet is constantly being updated and added to. Hire or Buy always endeavour to satisfy their customers requests - if they don’t stock it, they will get it! Their large range of sales stock coupled with their equally large range of hire equipment truly makes the Hire or Buy Group a ‘One-Stop Shop’.
Prior to using inspHire to manage their fleet, Hire or Buy were using another application which was unreliable and difficult to use as well as old manual systems. With 70% of their business concentrating on sales and 30% hire, it was essential for the company to implement a system that would deal with both hire and sales order processing with ease.
The move to inspHire
