Camfaud Concrete Pumps Ltd

Background

Camfaud Concrete Pumps Ltd is the largest independent hire company for concrete pumping equipment in the U.K.  The company has been trading for over 25 years and has depots across the Midlands, East Anglia, London and the Home Counties.  Camfaud supplies mobile boom pumps on an operated basis; these range in size from 16 to 63 metres reach, the latter being the largest pump available in the U.K.  They also supply non-operated pumps and stationary placing booms.

The Issue
Prior to installing the inspHire software, Camfaud operated a manual, paper-based system.  It worked well but, as the company grew, this became more and more inefficient and it was next to impossible to produce useful reports (except financial reports produced by Sage).

The Solution
Once the decision was made to computerise the system, it was crucial to select the right partner: we needed to ensure that the software company was secure, the product was stable (and easy to use especially for staff not completely at home with computers) and that there was full support available.  It was also important to choose a product that was flexible enough to accommodate both operated and non-operated plant and the charging structure that Camfaud used.

Camfaud selected inspHire Office Edition.

We produce regular reports on contracts, plant utilisation and customer activity and these are invaluable.”
