Event Furniture Hire
Background
Event Hire was established in May 2005, operating from an 8,000 sq ft 
warehouse in Walsall, West Midlands. With a comparatively small stockholding and a turnover of £250k in the first year of trading, the operation and financial records were done manually.
The Issue
With the dramatic growth of the business during the second year, it was ob
vious that we needed to establish systems to control our hire stock, forward bookings, delivery and collections, invoicing, financial and customer records. We had managed an event hire division for a large international company prior to setting up Event Hire, where we had used a bespoke inhouse software system to run all aspects of the business, so we knew the key points we were looking for when we were researching potential software systems for Event Hire.
