Background
Media Film Services houses all equipment rental needs under one roof with access to all the latest cutting edge technology to benefit film makers.
The Issue
The availability and current location of Media Film Service assets were all tracked manually, in “zig zag” books– large lever arch files, which consisted of equipment listed on one side of the page and a calendar-type page on the other side. This involved physically adding bookings into the books, and then quoting against these hand-written pencils. Being a two-fold process, it doubled the length of time spent on the booking/quoting process.
As well as being very time consuming there were flaws in the system. There were too many gaps in the process where information could slip through, and being a paper-based system it was very difficult to keep track of the bookings being invoiced and those that weren’t!
MFS began looking for a rental management system which wouldn’t need too much customising to fit their requirements, as well as one which would mean the least disturbance to their clients.
The Solution
At this point MFS selected inspHire Office Edition rental Management Solution.
