What attracted me to the Apprenticeship Scheme at inspHire, was that it had all the qualities and ticked all of the boxes I was looking for; it gave me the opportunity to take on new challenges, develop new skills and work in a fast-paced environment.

Jake's Story

What really sealed the deal for me, was the fact that inspHire is an award-winning company. This shows that the company is hard working, reliable and the quality of their work is always to a high standard. inspHire also aim to promote from within, which is great, as later in my inspHire career I would like to be able to progress into other aspect of the business.

My Apprenticeship scheme is comprised of learning whilst in the work place. At the beginning, I spent one week on my training course and one week at work which worked really well. Now that I have finished my training course I’m full time at work and form part of the Helpdesk team. I help customers with queries they may have whilst they’re using the inspHire software and as I have learned how to amend Crystal Reports, I’m helping out with cases on that as well which is great. The range of cases is endless meaning that there are always new challenges and new things to learn.

Throughout my apprenticeship, my Assessor comes in to make sure I’m on track with the course and that all my work is up to date.

What I enjoy the most about working at inspHire is hearing the customer’s satisfaction after you have resolved a query for them as you feel great yourself too and this makes it all worthwhile. I also enjoy making Crystal reports for customers as I enjoy coding.

inspHire has helped me to develop as a person, as my confidence is increasing all the time as I get to talk to a range of customers. I also feel like this is a good career path for me, as I really enjoy the different challenges that I face every day. It never feels stale, it’s always fresh.

I have learned a range of software skills working at inspHire for example the inspHire system, Crystal Reports and SQL to name a few. I have also learned an amazing amount of personal skills in such a short amount of time too, which is great for my confidence and for my career progression.

Once I have completed my Apprenticeship I hope to stay on and work here at inspHire. I really like working on the Helpdesk but in the future I would like to progress within the business such as to the Implementation Team.
