As Project Portfolio Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting the Head of Professional services oversee the portfolio of projects currently assigned to the team.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Create and maintain project plans.
- Prepare and conduct project kick-off meetings both internally and externally.
- Monitor, track and report delivery activity and project status both internally and externally.
- Conduct 1-2-1 sessions with PSG team members to obtain status updates and risks.
- Manage/document/escalate delivery risks and issues to Head of Professional Services.
- Promote adherence to the PSG ways of working document.
- Identify areas of improvement within the inspHire implementation life cycle.
- Identify areas of focus for internal training for PSG team members.
- Support the implementation of process enhancements alongside the Head of Professional Services.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- 2+ years of Project Management or Project Management Office (PMO) experience.
- Experience working with an industry recognised project management methodology (eg PRINCE2)
- Demonstrable experience of coordinating a portfolio of projects.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in all aspects of the project life cycle.
Desirable:
- Understanding of ERP systems and their delivery
- Business/commercial awareness
- IT service awareness
- IT culture awareness (eg GDPR)
- Decision maker under pressure
- Forward thinking/proactive nature
