The Issue

As a young independent plant and tool hire company, HIRE-IT! used a DOS based system. At the time, some 15 years ago, this was somewhat state of the art compared to using pen and paper, but the system did not progress as time went by and eventually HIRE-IT! got to the point where the system would not cope with the rate they were expanding. There were several problems with the system - It did not keep individual cash customer details and every few months HIRE-IT! would have to archive contracts and invoices as the system would lock up because of the overload of information and once archived, documents could not be re-printed.

HIRE-IT! began looking for a replacement hire management system. They required: a company that treated their customers with the same care and attention whether they were a single user like HIRE-IT! or a multi user organisation and a system that was simple to use and allowed them to serve their customers quickly and efficiently. 

The Solution

HIRE-IT! selected inspHire Office Edition.

“We had a lot of information to load onto inspHire (customers names and addresses, plant numbers and equipment, descriptions, suppliers details etc)  but we were never pressurised and felt inspHire was very understanding with all the input from ourselves. inspHire came and stayed with us for two days and I couldn’t believe we had waited so long for a system like this. inspHire has made us so efficient. We can serve our customers quickly and professionally, and copy invoices, when they are required, are quick and easy to do. The reporting functionality is exceptional – particularly the ‘What’s out Where’ report, the ‘Utilisation’ report and the ‘Return on Investment report. The only thing it can’t do is to get me to type with two hands. As with any business - time means money - and I know that the inspHire software and the inspHire Help Line have really saved us huge amounts of time and money. Whenever they need any information i.e. plant lists, copy invoices, availability of an item. It’s all instant.”
