Looking Back on inspHire’s History at EHS

Since its launch in 2007, Executive Hire Show has established itself as the UK’s biggest exhibition for tools, equipment and plant hire. The event has always been hosted at the Ricoh Arena, known as the home of Coventry City F.C., Wasps Rugby and of course, hire! This year’s show will take place on the 6th and 7th February and once again it is one you don’t want to miss.
The place where passionate hirers meet innovative suppliers, EHS will yet again showcase the newest products within the hire industry. Since its inception, the show, the industry, the products on offer and our software have all evolved greatly. As an exhibitor since the very start, EHS has been the perfect place for us to demonstrate the newest features and latest products we have to offer – it’s the reason why we eagerly anticipate the show year on year. In the past, we have been known to save some of our biggest and best launches for the Executive Hire Show. With this in mind, we thought it apt to produce our very own timeline detailing some of our highlights since the inaugural event.
2007 – The Very First EHS!
The 31st of January 2007 marked the start of the Executive Hire Show. Innovative hirers from all over the UK came together at the Ricoh Arena for what would be the first of many great years at the Executive Hire Show.
2008 – Improving Prospect Management with the Launch of inspHire CRM
We released our brand new inspHire CRM developed specifically for the hire industry. Our CRM system was designed to improve customer communication, help businesses streamline sales and marketing processes, generate more business and close more deals. 2011 – Ground-breaking Integration with Scan to PDF & SimplyPats
The introduction of two exciting integrations, Scan to PDF and SimplyPats, gave users never before seen functionality. By synchronising data from SimplyPats into inspHire users would now be alerted when equipment is due to be PAT tested. Once tests are completed you can import the results back into inspHire, ensuring equipment is always abiding to health and safety laws. With Scan to PDF integration, filing has never been easier, you can store documents and have them attached to where they originate within inspHire.
2012 – BI Dashboards Allowed Customers to See How Their Business was Performing at a Glance
Web-based Business Intelligence Dashboards generated a lot of interest at EHS in 2012, providing businesses with a live snapshot as to how they were performing on a weekly, monthly or annual basis. Visitors to our stand were particularly intrigued and excited by the ability to analyse vitally important information about their entire business in one easy to digest screen.
2013 – inspHire Mobile made the Innovation Trail
Even back in 2013, inspHire Mobile was noticed as one of the most innovative products on the market and was featured on the first ever Innovation Trail! Allowing users to work on the move, Mobile was designed to drastically increase productivity by helping keep teams connected via real-time data. Since its launch, inspHire Mobile has been consistently updated to ensure it’s equipped with the latest features and functionality to help businesses tackle the ever-changing demands of the hire industry, see the latest developments within Mobile.
2014 – inspHire Mobile Continued to Lead the Way
After previously featuring on the Innovation Trail, inspHire Mobile was still in popular demand and major developments were continuing to be made, allowing teams in the workshop to better manage the service and repair of equipment. 2017 – Helping the Hire Industry Provide Customers with Exceptional Service
Built to help you offer a better service, our WebPortal gave your customers the ability to self-serve and provided them with easy access to important information and documentation including; contracts, invoices, delivery notes and more. It also gave customers access to an online catalogue, populated with equipment, allowing them to request hire of an item when it’s convenient for them.
2018 – The Ability to View the Exact Location of Equipment with Asset Tracker and Telematics
At last year’s show, we officially launched Asset Tracker Functionality and Telematics Integrations, utilising in-built Google Maps integration and linking with telematics providers Trackunit, JCB Livelink and CanTrack gave users access to the current and exact location as well as status of equipment. Data provided by telematics systems can be easily monitored and analysed all within the inspHire system.
2019 – What’s in Store for The Future?
