Vertikal Days 2018, Another excellent event for the Access & Lifting Industry

Vertikal days 2018

Vertikal Days, the UK’s largest lifting equipment event, ran from the 16th-17th May and we’re now reflecting on just how brilliant it was. Situated in the heart of England, Donington Park hosted this year’s event for the first time and a record number of 2680 visitors attended, making it the biggest show to date.

One aspect of the event we were particularly pleased with was the wide-open space that the new venue offered. It allowed for a clear, unobstructed view of the access & lifting industries latest innovation and was a welcomed change. The weather was nice too, as for the first time in the 12 years since Vertikal Days’ inception, there was no rain in sight.

As always for events such as Vertikal Day’s, we thoroughly enjoy exhibiting our software, and this year was no different. Much to our delight, visitors expressed a significant interest in our new telematics integrations with leading providers Trackunit, JCB LiveLink and CanTrack Global.

Health and safety is of foremost importance to the Access & Lifting industry and these integrations paired with our new Asset Tracker help to ensure these stringent standards are met. inspHire users can oversee the usage of their assets and can view exactly when a machine has been turned on. To further this, the integrated telematics systems can be opened directly from within inspHire to identify who’s been using the machinery.

IPAF also put great focus on health and safety as they ran their virtual reality training simulation throughout the duration of the show. Their VR simulations are used to train workers who will be operating in high-risk environments so this technology looks to be very beneficial for safety in the industry.

The networking events were also very rewarding and well attended. On the 18th, IPAF hosted ‘Let the conversation be Gin’ which was followed by the main event later in the evening. Speaking with fellow industry professionals is invaluable to us and helps us to enhance our offering, in order to meet the specific needs and requirements of the industry.

All in all, Vertikal Days ran very smoothly and the new location proved to be a remarkable success. The sound of nearby race cars and the occasional noise from planes above added to the atmosphere and it was a pleasure to have exhibited. We’d like to say a big thanks to the guys at Vertikal for hosting yet another excellent event and we look forward to seeing you next year!
